I fell in love with yoga after my first weighted yoga class in 2013. I was looking for a way to assist with my physical fitness and found a practice that helped in all aspects of my life. I loved the way it allowed me to strengthen my body and also clear my mind. Yoga was challenging in a way I wasn't used to. In 2018, I decided to deepen my practice and become a teacher.
As an occupational therapist I love working with people to help them overcome their physical dysfunctions and achieve their goals. Teaching yoga allows me to help people push their bodies and strengthen their minds to achieve their fitness goals all the while being mindful of posture and form.
I recently had a baby which has allowed me to connect with people in a way I haven't before. When I started yoga I was looking to supplement my existent fitness routine. Since the birth of my son I am returning to yoga with a new perspective on the importance of modifications.
